today was the family day on base. It was a LOT of fun. A lot more fun than I expected it to be. We all met up on base at noon and loaded up onto buses that took us about 30 minutes out to the middle of nowhere. They put us all in the stands and welcomed us and gave a little intro of all the different weapons and tanks and helicopters that Marines use. Then they had a "live fire presentation" where they have the helicopters shoot targets and blow stuff up and then the tanks come out and the Marines run out and get into position and blow more stuff up and then helos come in and the Marines drop down out of them from a rope and blow up more stuff haha it was really awesome. Then we broke up into groups and got to try on gear and ride in tanks and shoot all the weapons they showed us!!!!! SO MUCH FUN!!!! As always.... pics!!!!!
