allergist update

I took Mason to the allergist on Friday morning (who was from Ohio and is a buckeyes fan!), because his pediatrician wanted to get him tested for the most common food allergies. He was tested for peanuts, cows milk, egg whites and all the common fruits and veggies that he'll be introduced to in the next few months. and good news: NO ALLERGIES!! YAY! He's not allergic to cow's milk, but he's still allergic to the protein in the milk... so he still cant drink it :( (well he wouldnt be drinking cow's milk until his first birthday anyway, but the allergist thinks he'll probably need to stay on nutramigen for at least 8 more months...which means even AFTER his first birthday) but he said the GI doc might think otherwise and whoever his new pediatrician in Oklahoma might think he's ready sooner too. I guess we'll see. I have an appt with the GI specialist this coming Friday and I'm hoping she'll have some good news for us too. I just want to know that he's okay and if he's not eating well for a few days, it's simply because he's just not that hungry and not because he's in pain from acid reflux or something else.

anyway.. here are a few updated pictures :)

this one I took on my cell phone from at the allergists. It looks a lot worse than it was and he didnt cry at all! He started getting a little squirmy, because that big one on the right (which was the control) was itching pretty bad, but he did great.



The next two are just showing you how scrawny this little kid is! People always say he looks chunky, but the only thing chunky about him are his cheekers!!! He's in the 75% for height and only the 25% for weight. I'm sure it's because of all the difficulties we had getting him to eat the first few months after he was born. Now that he's on solids though, he should catch up a bit.

He's been sticking his butt up in the air like this and then pulls his knees under him haha makes me laugh watching him struggle with it. He grunts and everything.


Standin at the window watchin the doggies outside. He loves the dogs! No, he didnt pull himself up. He's not quite that strong yet, but I stood him up and let go and he was able to stand there for a good while before finally losing his balance and toppling over!

Tell me this isnt the most ornery face you've ever seen. I'm gonna have my hands FULL when he starts moving and getting into stuff. You can just tell that the look on his face spells TROUBLE!
